"The Dollhouse" was a student film made by Kyra Gardner at Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts, but Universal Studios also included the film on the DVD/Blu-ray release of "Cult of Chucky" as a bonus feature - a first for a film school, and for a film school student.
Kyra Gardner's documentary "The Dollhouse" had it's Global Premiere at the 2017 FrightFest Film Festival in London England on August 24th, preceding the World Premiere of Universal Studio's feature film "Cult of Chucky," which opened the Festival.
Universal Studios worked with Florida State University's College of Motion Picture Arts to be able to include Kyra Gardner's documentary "The Dollhouse" on the DVD release of "Cult of Chucky" as a bonus feature of the DVD. It's the first time a student film has been included on a major studio film's release.
"The Dollhouse" was the first student film to be accepted from Florida State University to the Toronto After Dark Film Festival.
"The Dollhouse" was accepted into the 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival, in the After Hours Film Shorts Program.
