This 2018 movie is listed as a romantic comedy, however it was more of a romantic drama. There was actually very little of anything in the comedy department here throughout the course of the movie.
I will say that "Metal Heart" is certainly a watchable movie, albeit it is a rather generic and stereotypical movie. So writer Paul Murray wasn't really dishing out anything overly impressive here with the script for "Metal Heart".
The storyline was adequately written, although it was rather predictable and seemed to follow a very familiar formula of how to make a such a movie as "Metal Heart" turned out to be.
Now, I am not familiar with actress Jordanne Jones, whom was the lead actress in the movie, but she definitely put on a good performance and carried the movie rather nicely. It was definitely a treat to have actor Moe Dunford in the movie as well, because he spruced up the storyline rather well with his performance and his particular character.
Director Hugh O'Conor's 2018 movie was a movie that came and went without leaving much of a lasting impression for me. I am rating it a bland five out of ten stars. I am sure that there is an audience out there for a movie such as this, but I just happened to have gotten past my adolescent period, so go figure.
