About 90% of the dialogue was improvised. Rayner and Zamora had an 11 page outline.
In the work/bar scenes all of the bar patrons in the background are friends of the director from local Los Angeles bands, some of which contributed to the film's soundtrack.
Originally released by Kentucker Audley's Indie platform 'NoBudge', the film had over 50 million views on YouTube before being taken down for it's explicit content.
When asked about the graphic nature of the sex scenes, Rayner responded "we didn't want the sex in the film to be gratuitous. There's a scene happening in every sex scene. I find sex to be incredibly important and given my experience in the adult industry, I wanted to be responsible with sex, because I'm not allowed to do that in adult film. It was never meant to be erotic, it was meant to be realistic. Sex isn't always pretty, it isn't always fun. Sometimes it's just sad and awkward and regretful for both people involved who aren't being present in the moment, and you carry the experience with you, praying that your next physical interaction is better."
