"The Woods" (2017) is the first short film created by the award-winning Youtube channel Sugar Pine 7.

In the credits, there are special thanks to famous rapper Chance The Rapper. This is given to him ironically as James DeAngelis was going to his concert almost immediately after filming. This contributed to the short film schedule.
The film was released a week earlier on Rooster Teeth First, premiered on the 24th, instead of the 31st, which got released on the 'Sugar Pine 7' channel, on YouTube.
The short film was made in idyll wild, CA, the same place the YouTube channel behind the woods, Sugar Pine Seven, made the video with the same name that introduces their internet series, Alternative lifestyle.
