Featured review
As was the case with the promotional video for 'Strawberry Fields', The Beatles YouTube channel has uploaded this video in pristine HD quality, so I recommend anyone reading this to check it out immediately, because the video accompanying this song really is a lot of fun to watch. It didn't exactly impress me to the extent that the 'Strawberry Fields' video did, but few videos ever have or will, so I need not dig into any further comments on how these videos compare and contrast. Anyway, the song 'Penny Lane' is, of course, a classic, ad the video does it much justice and matches its upbeat nature perfectly, with some slight touches of surrealism and a light sense of humour. The editing is extremely well done and matches the beats of the song and such with near perfection, and the usage of horses genuinely amused me more than I would expect it to. It's an extremely playful video, making it really fit the song it accompanies.
