The director of 'Sick Of It', Richard Yee, was also the director and producer of Karl's previous work An Idiot Abroad (2010) and The Moaning of Life (2013).
Creators Karl Pilkington and Richard Yee were heavily inspired by Louie (2010) when creating Sick of It and wanted the show to have a similar feel.
The role of Karl was originally intended to be played by Jack Deam in early stages of the show's production.
Director Richard Yee wanted the show to have a strong photographic and cinematic look. He described the show's colour palette as being like a wall that had been painted a bright colour and then faded over time.
