Lulu Fitz and Jacinta Klassen in Bullied (2021)

It is not concrete enough

The movie is marginally okay, but I felt that it was cheap in that it played violin music in order to spark thrills. There wasn't anything exciting about the premise, and the scenes of the kids being taunted in the schoolyard were painful to see.

The young actress who played Charlotte has some promise, she carries the film well despite how contrived the script became.

Every adult character in this film was mindless, from the school principal to the parents to the aunt & uncle. This young kid needed some direction, yet no one could steer her the right way. Basically every character is a bully in their own right.

The movie needed a central plot, but the viewer is subjected to adults drinking, school kids acting catty, and a creepy uncle. There's no lesson to learn from it.

Not good

I can only assume this was cast with the directors Facebook friends as they don't seem to have any talent to display except the two main girls who aren't bad.. Disjointed, predictable and unengaging - even at this short length I struggled to get through it.

Memorable

Aside from this story addressing two of the biggest problems children face in just about any culture-bullying and sexual predators-I thought the lead actors did a great job with their characters. Charlotte (Jacinta Klassen) especially gave an amazing performance in giving her character depth and likability. You'll wish she was your daughter .....she's so lovable yet strong. To be honest I forgot it was an indie film while I was watching it!! The ending was a bit confusing for me as well but it didn't take away from my appreciation of the quality. Well done all who worked hard on this project!!

Not a revenge thriller

More like an episode of Home & Away, but without the bay. I'll give it credit for having one interesting plot development. Not much more to say. My favourite right part was trying to guess the suburb it was filmed in. I was way off.

Unbelievable

This film is unbelievably bad from beginning to end. The dialogue is insipid, and the plot has been done over and again so many times that all I could think about during the entire run-time was "The Children's Film Festival with Kukla, Fran, and Ollie." Rarely do I feel like I have wasted precious time watching a movie, but this is one of those rare occasions. It is as if somebody with no budget found local theater actors to perform. I guess maybe that can result in something good on occasion, but in this case, along with the terrible camera work, the end result is a saltless, flavorless foray into a boring, boring excuse for a film.

Great local thriller

Great local thriller with a fabulous cast of Aussie talent, especially the kids. Bullying is still ongoing and its great to see Angela How tackling an often glazed over topic. Well done. Looking forward to more from Angela very soon!

So boring

So slow and boring. Nothing happens in this movie. I thought it was a thriller but I want to sleep.

Watch this movie!

Angela How has crafted a gripping, nail-biting film that embraces difficult themes of immense importance to our society. Racism, bullying and exploitation of the vulnerable are explored in this dark, must-watch drama. Congrats to Angela, cast and crew.
