A Comedy turned in to a Psychological thriller

Started as a light heart comedy which is slowly turned in to a psychological thriller. Some of the scenes felt so uneasy. But the brilliant screenplay and direction make up to it. Casting is fantastic, cinematography is beautiful , bgm is good. Every actors justified their role. Though everything is good, the creepiness is haunting at the end!!

First season was unique

Pushpavalli is very good in scripting directing and cinematography . I enjoyed first season however never felt that there is a need of second season though .i found the second season boring and yet it's kind of dragging the whole story ideally the logic is not found yet why Pushpavalli is behind that man like a cop feeling a tea wala guy for some confusing cctv footages .. second season is truly dragging and unwanted scenes

CRAZZZZZZYYYYYY !!

Amazing show. Brilliantly written, conceptualised and perfectly executed. This is a progressive Indian comedy light years different from the stereotypical weird sounds people make in the name of comedy on channels such as Sony SAB and others.

Except for Kenny Sebastians's part which was a unrealistically over the top in terms of insulting his audience on a live stand up comedy show, kudos to the creators and Sumukhi Suresh for an impeccable performance. I loved the characters of Pankaj, Vasu and Pushpavali's mother apart from the main leads.

Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Cute show but characters should yell less

I like the show and the concept but almost all the characters are yelling at Pushpavalli. They can tone it down a bit. Characters can be shown as jerks without yelling.

Great Show with some Stellar Comedy

Im seriously impressed with the kind of content our own home brewed comedians are putting out. This is another great addition to that list. Great acting with some stellar comedy. Im just 4 episodes in and i am already dreading that this show will be over in another 4 more episodes.

Must watch. Kudos to the Team.

Average copy of an average show

Basic storyline is copy of the show Crazy ex girlfriend with some Indian masala. Starts off good but fizzles towards the end.

So unique, you won't guess it till the end!

Such a beautiful comedy series... story of a failed one sided love.... a girl making efforts to win till the end...

and suddenly there is a twist...just wait till the very last episode and then you know it.... oh it is a thriller too!

Actors are amazing and absolutely fit their given roles... even smaller characters have their significance in the story and keeps it flowing...

Good show.... take out time and watch at leisure.

Warped but so much fun!

Binge-watched S1/2 last week. I love the fact that the show has 20 minute episodes. Never been a fan of Sumukhi Suresh but I was left rooting for her by the end of S2. Her character reminds you of Shah Rukh Khan's iconic 'Sunil' from Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa... way more twisted and millennial, of course. Brilliant writing by Naveen Richards, Sumukhi and the writing team. Loved the nuances highlighting the diversity of South India... Bangalore vs Chennai, the accents, the slang... all bang on. Season 1 is fun and Season 2 gets darker and I'm not complaining. I love the exaggerated caricatures with a special mention to Shraddha who plays Vasu, T-Boi and Pushpavalli's mom.

....

Good effort and has us laughing hard at places...but the plot is very very similar to the English series My Crazy Ex Girlfriend featuring Rachel Bloom, which is a very popular show in the West..what a shame. Sumukhi has done brilliant acting..and also the one who plays the PG Owner..

Brilliant Casting!

Pushpavalli is Amazon Prime Video's latest sitcom starring comedienne Sumukhi Suresh. Amazon Prime has managed to impress time & again with their shows. Does Pushpavalli live up to their high standards? A friend of mine broke up with his gf of 2 years. While he was done with the relationship, she was still in love with him. She constantly kept tabs on him via his friends, stalked him on social media & waited for 3 years before moving on. Watching Pushpavalli reminded me of my friends & his crazy ex. Sumukhi Suresh plays the eponymous Pushpavalli & is also the show creator. Pushpavalli has a huge crush on Nikhil(Manish Anand). While we have all heard stories of crazy gf's stalking their bf's, Pushpavalli has been stalking Nikhil even though they never dated. She even moved towns to be close to him. She keeps calling him from different phones, often borrowing stranger's phones to call him. She even pays off people to keep her updated about his whereabouts. The storyline keeps moving between the past & present, while telling us about Pushpavalli's first interaction with Nikhil & their current equation. Pushpavalli has a over bearing & dramatic mom. She stays in a PG in Bengaluru with several other working women. She works in a children's nursery, owned by her ex-schoolmate - played by Naveen Richard. Does Nikhil find out about Pushapavalli's obsession for him? Do they end up together? Watch the show to find out. While the dialogues alone won't make you roll with laughter, the brilliant casting more than makes up for it. The coffeewala cum informer & her boss are good. Pushpavalli's mother & landlady are scene stealers. The makers need to be lauded for the brilliant casting of these two characters. Sumukhi Suresh shoulders the responsibility of the lead role well. Several of the dialogues & jokes are in South Indian languages. But viewers can rely on subtitles to do the job. The direction is near perfect. The makers have done an excellent job of getting the best out of the cast. There are no glaring flaws in the show. We did wonder why the character of Pankaj was so angry & abusive? While the show is good, it will make you cringe at Pushpavalli's behavior at times. The show is good, it is not addictive as hell. it does grown on you though. We did find ourselves thinking about the characters on the show & laughing about their antics. But we would recommend you to watch it nonetheless. It is quite unlike what you have seen for a while.

Great Show!

I'm seriously impressed with everyone in the show! Everyone acted so damn well! Honestly I felt Naveen's character went a little overboard with the anger. Just an opinion. With just 8 episodes, the team has put forwards a great attempt! Hats off to Sumukhi Suresh for getting this onto the streaming world!

Enjoyed everything but the storyline

Great web series by a number of very talented people. Individual performances are really good, even the smaller roles were commendable. It's great in bits and pieces. Characters are well written and performed. The best part or the main highlight of the series for me was the duo of Urooj and Sumaira. Such awesome characters played beautifully. The PG lady was hilarious too. Only complaint is the story line. A better story could've made this series something else given the amount of talented people involved.

Fabulous Acting and great story line

Perfect casting. Awesome acting. Pankaj goes overboard with his lines. His acting is spot on, can reduce the abuses. Not natural. May be its the script. Others, every character is almost perfect. Sumukhi, the lead, Swati, Nikhil - Brilliant!! Waiting for the next season!

Pushpavalli Is Straight Out Of A Thriller!

The show has everything - its funny, annoying, thrilling, edgy and engaging. It is a story that many might relate to but is also very creepy to be honest. It however loses focus a lot of times and goes a little too far to the extent of it being annoying. I do understand that the idea of a psycho is similar but here the story feels annoying and not the character. In the end the audience is caught between feeling sympathetic for the characters. it sort of justifies creeping someone who doesn't love you back and I don't think that is okay. The storyline is a little stretchy and tends to get boring sometimes.

Naveen Richard is undoubtedly the saving grace and so is Manish Anand. The two bring about the much needed positivity but a special shout out to Naveen for saving the show.

Its fun and addictive

I found this series very interesting, funny and crazy, binged S1 and 2, Sumukhi has done a great job to incite hatred, frustration and emotions for her character, you Can love or hate her but can't ignore her, Manish Anand is cunningly smart he knows his game very well, Naveen Richard has done brilliant job, I'm in love with his comic timing, sarcasm and the way he act when frustrated, Vasu PG is hilarious with her with one liners and sarcasm, Swati is so sweet, Betu Boi is so cute, T-Boi you will do wonders in future, great job.

Didn't expect cliffhanger climax, waiting for Season 3

Strangely addicting

This really isn't the sort of thing I normally watch, but I really liked it. (Be prepared for horrible language, FYI.) I just finished Season 1 and was devastated that I wouldn't know what happens to her-but now I see a Season 2 is in the offing? Hooray!!!

What's with the yelling?

A funny story I guess.

But the entire series is about people yelling, swearing and putting on a really weird accent. Could have been funnier if the characters weren't yelling at each other all the time.

Extremely loud! Cringy! Manipulative main character

So many things are wrong in this series. Why are most of the characters so loud! Like so loud you really need to put it on mute and look at the subtitles. And why is Naveen Richard particularly loud. How is manipulation even ok. Why is the man character, aka Pushpavali, so manipulative. Omg so many cringe worthy scenes. Why does she need that guy for validation. Like why! What a facepalm. What's with the body shaming! We are in different times now! Can you guys plsss be a little progressive! What a waste of time. At some point you shd be able to relate to the characters, which clearly doesn't happen. Come on dude! Stop making content to waste ppl's time! Watch and learn from good content out there

Humour in the most dark moments..amazingly written

The show revolves around Pushpavalli (Sumulhi Suresh) the female lead protagnist. The show is damn well written and has humour in the most darkest moments. Pushpavalli could be considered the anti hero in the sense that you know she manipulates to get what she wants, she is a compulsive liar and like she puts it a creeper. But you cant help but root for her and want her to succeed in her devious scheme and you even want her to get away with it and have the happy ending. The supporting cast is hilarious. my favourite has got to be Naveen Richard as Pankaj the guy with anger issues and an elaborate vocabulary to verbally insult people( I have got to use some of them on people i know). And Preetika Chawla as Swati is the opposite as the annoyingly sickening sweet personality and her nicknames for people. T Boi as the ever hustling chai waala. All in all a great watch with hilarious jokes and a great plot.
