I was hoping for more, but it was pretty boring. The jokes are meh, the animation is fine, the voice-acting is solid. But if the jokes aren't good, I have no reason to watch the show, it's supposed to be a comedy after all. They need to mix it up and really try something fresh, this kind of "trump humor" is played out.

I'd like to say upfront that I am neither a Republican or Democrat or even American and am highly critical of both parties, so my review is not biased. Anyway...
The caricatures of the politicians and news anchors and everybody else are fantastic, their facial animations are also on point, some of the voice actors as well are quite good.
If you're up-to-date with American politics you'll understand many of the references thrown out and find them amusing, whoever is writing this clearly keeps up with current events and knows the backgrounds of the people.
Which is why this show is a giant waste, because the satire is weak. There's nothing clever or insightful or remotely profound about the show. It's the kind of mockery anyone could make about these politicians. At least it's not overly obnoxious though, it's just 'meh'.
Honestly the most amusing parts of the show are the real aspects of these people that write themselves and not what the writers have brought.

I love, loves Stephen Colbert. I never missed an episode of The Colbert Report, and I watch every episode of his late night show - so I was really looking forward to this show. I'm disappointed. The intro to the Late Show is comedy gold as Colbert shows the presidud the level of respect he deserves. But this cartoon is just kinda boring. It doesn't live up to the level of Colbert's other hits. I actually wouldn't even mind if my PVR failed to record this show. It's MEH. Oh - and what's really interesting, is if you click on the number of votes below the rating for this show - you can see almost all the ratings are either 1 or 10. Certainly no politics involved in the way this show is rated, eh?

Juvenile humor and poor animation. It's a just a cartoon version of a bad SNL skit trying to cash in on the anti-Trump sentiment. I mean, I don't like Trump but I still have enough objectivity to identify poor quality.

This show is an unfunny mess with predictable, stale jokes. Before you ask, no I am not a Hillary supporter or a Trump lover or hater for that matter. I'm not a very political person. Trump does a lot of crazy stuff but this show just doesn't do a good job lampooning him. Again the writing is just really sub par in my opinion.
The animation is OK at best. The voices are terrible, especially the guy doing Trump. It honestly seems as though they're just not really trying. Strange for a show from Stephen Colbert, whose strength always used to be that he had consistently solid writers working for him... well that and being an awesome host and writer himself!
Worst of all this Trump show is really late to the party. There are a ton of other great shows and sketches out there. The President Show is also not very funny in my opinion, but at least it has a good impression/Trump voice in it.
I love Stephen Colbert but this show gets a "fail" from me. I won't be watching any more episodes. It's too bad because an animated Trump show from Colbert could and should have been a lot better and funnier.

Where to begin? The comedy in this is so fresh, it was straight from the vines of entertainment. I feel that can be credited to highly funny co-creator, Stephen Colbert. It's sharp, well executed and on time. The characters are blown out of proportion, in a way that makes them more enjoyable. Except for Trump. That one's spot on. Overall it's astounding, and I feel most of the bad reviews, come from those who refuse to admit their candidate is wrong, but I won't dive deeper into that. It is a must see for any fans of comedy.

This just was not funny, missed opportunity. I was only 7 minutes in and had to switch off, I expected better. What ever happened to political satire, like wag the dog, the thick of it. Even SNL is better then this rubbish.

Trump is a moron. Why not at the very least have a few laughs at his expense. See all the poor reviews from deplorables? It's because they have no sense of humor.

Absolutely a waste of time! I was hoping for some genuine political satire, but this is obviously personal - and not funny.
Sometimes a show will be so pathetically bad that you can trace it directly back to a change of writers or producer influence...could someone post the name of the show this troupe did while Obama was President, so I can make a fair comparison?
Thank you.

Colbert used to actually be funny. He has become so emotionally unhinged about Trump that his ability to write good comedy is gone. This show is sophomoric, cruel and not the least bit entertaining.
Funny and entertaining what I imagine is an accurate look into the reality that is trump

It's a sad day for comedy.
How can you even create such a revolting product.
Who writes the script for this cartoon? Seriously? This is the least funny cartoon I've watched in the last 20 years. Creating such a low quality product is a new level of trash....
If you don't like Trump and like watching him ridiculed, then this is the show for you. If you want clever satire that's funny, watch something like Veep. Or if you like cartoons, then Family Guy or Southpark. I haven't seen them do any Trump jokes, but I'd be surprised if The Donald doesn't make an appearance. And those shows would make it actually funny.
Our Cartoon President uses the same joke over and over again. Trump is stupid. Look at this other stupid thing he would probably do, and look at the stupid things he probably thinks.
If you don't care about Trump, then it gets tedious very quickly.

Our Cartoon President is not funny enough to be a good comedy show, it is not animated well enough to be a good animation show and it is not smart enough to be a good informative or news show, so it has nothing really to offer. It isn't going to start a good political conversation if you watch it with friends. It just isn't very good at doing anything good at all. The voices aren't even good. I am very disappointed by this because I like Steven Colbert so much (other than this).

Great show.
Best part is reading all the negative reviews from all the Trumpeteers on here.
You know, the ones who lose their minds any time you critique their orange "savior".

Same tired jokes that were never funny to begin with. Proof that comedy is dead in Hollywood.

It seems that the USA has to bring issues to the fore through comedy, the simpsons, family guy, South Park etc etc.
So I was really looking forward to this inside eye on a man who only sees himself and nothing else, and enjoy the cutting humor I've seen with so many other cartoon characters. However It is simply awful two episodes in to this and I've decided to watch no more. Where is the cutting edge, the ability to bring humor to this ridiculous president, it's not there....perhaps the legal team wrote this, it certainly wasn't someone who wanted to highlight, though laughter, the ridiculous situation the greatest country in the world is in.... thank you and goodnight!

But they really managed to hit it out of the park. They almost make Trump & Co. likable. The Don Jr, & Eric character are absolutely hysterical, and the likenesses of the clown car that is the Trump administration are spot on. If only reality was as silly and lighthearted as the animated version, but it would be impossible to make treason, money laundering and obstruction of justice funny.

How in the world could anyone describe this awful and childish waste of time as "fresh, cutting-edge comedy?" Honestly, whatever your political views and regardless of what one might think of Donald Trump, this show has terrible animation, immature writing and extremely unintelligent content. It is surprising that Showtime would even consider including it in their programming.
Ive watched first episode, then I read reviews...Its clear many reviews coming from MAGA sheep who are too stupid to see what funny is, and far too up the butt of trumps treasonous traitor arse to see everything in this cartoon is true as far as character and personality goes for each. I found it very funny, the animation was good enough, the jokes were going for exaggerated realism, which hit spot on. I wont say anyone, but most who give this 4 or less stars is CLEARLY a brainwashed maga sheep trying to lower the rating for a series that makes fun of their messiah..(FALSE MESSIAH AT THAT!)

DVD lacked subtitles for the elderly, disabled, hearing impaired, and ESL viewers. Disrespectful & cheap on the part of the producers, but perhaps appropriate in this case as both Trump & Biden seem incapable of spontaneous intelligent discourse which is also supported by how so dependent they are on hand gestures. Perhaps that is a reflection upon us. Cartoon quality is appropriate to the intelligence of both.
I wonder if we'll ever select leaders who can put the health of all as well as the planet ahead of promoting consumer greed (i.e. The more you can have the happier you'll be).

No wonder Stephen Colbert late night show ratings have dropped 45% that and this are not well written lack a real comedy base really it's well know Colbert and buddies hate Trump and thats all this is, I think no matter what party everyone is for the hate is old the Russian collusion was to provoke this kind of crap and life has more to offer than trying to brain wash people to believe your hate. Get some real shows that make people belly laugh and feel good!
