The Fanatic

FAQ

Moose (John Travolta) an ugly movie goer whom suffers from a mental illness is deeply disappointed when he goes to meet pompous Hollywood actor Hunter Dunbar (Devon Sawa) whom happens to be Moose's favorite movie star and is rude to Moose and refuses to sign his biggest fan his autograph at a autograph signing session. After Moose's only friend Leah (Ana Golja) a paparazzi photographer gives out Dunbar's address, Moose goes to Dunbar's house to visit him, but, Hunter tells him to stay away and that he doesn't want to see him ever again. But, Moose refuses and he trespasses and drops off a letter on Hunter's lawn. But, Moose is attacked by Dunbar's housekeeper and Moose kills the housekeeper in self defence by pushing her causing her head to hit a stone fountain. After Hunter catches Moose yet again which he threatens to kill him. Moose soon goes way too far and he breaks into Moose's house and ties Hunter up whilst he is sleeping and Hunter wakes up and is horrified when Moose appears dressed up like Jason Voorhees and pretends to stab him as a prank. But, Hunter convinces Moose to untie him by agreeing to sign Moose his autograph. Moose unties Hunter and Hunter carries out his threat to kill Moose.

Moose is the main character and is a anti-villain and is played by John Travolta. Moose is an ugly movie goer whom suffers from a mental illness and appears to be autistic and whom lives in Hollywood, California and he is a big fan of the pompous Hollywood actor Hunter Dunbar. Moose has no apparent family members living with him and his only friend is paparazzi photographer named, Leah. Moose began stalking Dunbar when he refused to sign him his autograph at a autograph session and has threatened to hurt him which he trespassed on Dunbar's property and accidentally killed Dunbar's housekeeper in self defence and he wouldn't leave Dunbar alone. After all that, Moose starts to go too far but doesn't know what Hunter has planned.

Hunter Dunbar is played by Devon Sawa. Dunbar is a pompous Hollywood movie star and is Moose's favorite movie star. Dunbar refuses to sign Moose his autograph at a autograph session and is rude to Moose. Moose began stalking Dunbar and began trespassing and breaking into his house.

Leah is the main female lead and is played by Anja Golja. Leah is a paparazzi photographer and is Moose's only friend. After Hunter Dunbar refused to sign Moose his autograph at the autograph session. Leah gave out Dunbar's address to Moose and Moose began stalking the actor and trespassing and breaking into Dunbar's house which Leah berates Moose.

Although Moose is held highly accountable for his actions and his behaviour. The faults are that of Hunter Dunbar and Leah. Hunter Dunbar was rude, hostile and abusive towards Moose and a bit of a bully and he wouldn't sign Moose his autograph and he wouldn't accept or read Moose's letter which deeply angered and upset Moose and if he had been nice to Moose and signed him his autograph and read his letter, Moose wouldn't had stalked him and broke into his house and accidentally killed Hunter's housekeeper and Hunter wouldn't had committed battery and grievously bodily harm on Moose by shooting him in the hand causing Moose to loose his hand, firing rifle shots close to his ears hurting Moose's eardrums and stabbing him in the eye and he wouldn't got falsely arrested for his housekeeper's murder. Leah is also to blame because she showed Moose the online app which allows the users to see celebrities houses and their addresses. Although Leah warned Moose about going to Dunbar's house and getting accused of stalking and she showed Moose the app with good intentions and that she just wanted to be a good friend. She shouldn't had told or shown him the app and if she hadn't Moose would not stalked Dunbar and trespassed on his property and Moose wouldn't had accidentally killed Dunbar's housekeeper. Lost his hand and eye and Dunbar wouldn't had ended up getting wrongly arrested for the housekeeper's murder. Leah should have also been aware of Moose possible going too far the movie shows that Moose has low functioning autism and Leah clearly has been like a caregiver for Moose.
