John Travolta took the role of Moose as a tribute to his autistic son Jett who passed away in 2009.
The movie is loosely based in a real event in director Fred Durst's life, in which a fan of the band Limp Bizkit (of which Durst was the vocalist) stalked him. Moose's way of dress (the Hawaiian shirt, the shorts and the kind of bad sneakers) was based in the clothes that Durst's stalker always wore.
One of the celebrities listed on the celebrity finder app is Jack Torrance (The Shining), another one is Tyler Durden (Fight Club).
Moose is John Travolta's favourite character he has ever played.
