Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance is a TV film based on the real life couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who met in 2016 and fell in love. The film starts of with what Harry and Meghan were like as kids and we get to see a small glimpse of what Meghan's father is like Thomas Markle and Harry's mother Diana who tragically died in 1997 in a car crash. It then cuts to 2016 as Meghan's friend organised a date for her and the guy turns out to be Prince Harry.
As the two start to fall in love there is some signs of racism and some are trying to break them apart due to her ethics and her being married before to Trevor Elgerton.
Overall I thought the film was not that bad. I liked how the two main actors Murray Fraser and the girl acting as Meghan were just like the real deal and even though parts of the film were made up(maybe it happened I dunno). But still it was at least better than the William and Kate film. My only grip with this film was the guy acting as Prince William. He looked nothing like him whatsoever.
If you love Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's whirlwind romance than check it out.

No hollywood smash hit but very respectable drama, mostly of a much better quality than Hallmark. Strange that it gets more hate than it deserves, but I see that comes mostly from the UK.
This is a good solid production, reasonable acting (though some smaller roles use weak actors), a true story credibly told, some intelligent insights and overall nicely paced narrative. The dialogue is not anywhere near the class of 'The Crown' but engaging. I was pleasantly surprised. If you want to know more about Harry and Meghan this film is more reliable than tabloid newspapers!
Solid 6.5 stars - If you have not already decided, then I do not hesitate to Recommend this.
This has a sequel 'Becomming Royal' (some different key actors but same sets and prcoduction team), but this stands comfortably on its own merits.

Obviously written by megan markle...pure fantasy and lies. Turned off half way through.

I enjoyed this. Better than a lot of Lifetime movies. The casting of the actors they found to portray Harry and Meghan are really spot on which helps with the fantasy here.
This made for TV movie deals almost exclusively with Harry and Meghan's relationship with a bit of a sidebar to Harry after Diana's death and Meghan as a young girl in California. We get to see them on their first blind date, their witty banter and instant chemistry and the love affair that follows as they try to fly under the radar with Harry visiting Meghan in Toronto where she is filming Suits. There are trips to Africa, breakups ands makeups and lots of events we remember from the tabloids.
I don't know how much of it story is true? My guess would be none of the personal stuff.
Decent acting though and very good casting especially for Meghan and Harry who look and sound just like the real thing.
Interesting imaginings of what the rest of the royal family are like too; the Queen is nice- a sweet, witty granny, Camilla is funny, Charles also nice, approachable. The portrayal of William and Kate surprised me a bit -proper stuffy and fully sucked into the royal machine. Oh and Diana is represented as a lion.
This is very romantic with some decent love scenes. I found it interesting how Lifetime imagines these personal things happened. Ultimately its a love story and the perfect bit of cheese to watch before or after the royal wedding.

Well, considering it's a made-for-TV Lifetime movie heavy on British cliches and surely - SURELY! - with a truck load of creative license taken, "Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance" is actually pretty good. I mean, it isn't going to win any awards, but this a fictionalised version of the royal romance that just about broke the internet, has it's moments.
The shadow of racism that seemed to hang over the whole thing is not shied away from, which I thought was a brave choice that elevates the production, and there is some good acting in places from the cast. There are some cringeworthy moments as well, but you take the good with the bad in a movie like this.
A note on casting: Parisa Fitz-Henley looks a lot like Meghan Markle and from certain angles, Murray Fraser bears more than a passing resemblance to Prince Harry. Some of the other casting decisions are a little off, but you can't win them all. Fitz-Henley and Fraser have good chemistry, and their romantic scenes are quite well done, as well.

This film was much better than I thought it would be, it's really good for a TV movie. The actors who play Meghan & Catherine look scarily like the real thing, all the actors do a good job at portraying their part. The acting is decent and it's a wonderful story. I love a good, mushy love story!

Enough over reacting!! Just a married couple live in a palace and don't represent normal people. They have nothing at all to worry about other than how they look on the cameras!

Don't watch this movie unless you want to inflict pain on yourself. I had fun watching it because I found it so bad to the point where it was enjoyable to laugh at but beyond that, there is no value to this movie. Please don't watch it. Please.
A Prince and his goldigger wife complain about how poorly they have been treated. And their backstory is boring as hell.
Meghan is a wannabe Diana, and Harry is a broken victim of his biscuits family and ruthless paparazzi. How many times can they play the race card? Well, they wear it out in this way-too-long journey into narcissism and self-pity. They got the smallest royal mansion among other slights by the royal family. Under it all plays Meghan's intense jealousy of Will & Kate. She wanted to be #1 and her sheer presence entitled her to it! The story is riddled with pathetic lies. And through it all, she had to wear beige ... as she appears in red, green and many other colors. Not worth watching 5 minutes.

This movie was very wonderful and told the story of how Harry and Meghan met and got engaged really well. The actors did looked a lot like the actual royals and the story was very heartwarming and sometimes even made you almost cry. Overall, the movie was an amazing movie and a great telling of the story of the engagement of Harry and Meghan.

Wow. This is another shameless PR stunt, and money grab by a talentless, grifting, D-list actress.
The brainwashed "Spare," who has his own issues with inadequacy, will no doubt live to regret ever meeting, Meghan The Shark. He's clearly too naive and sheltered to recognize that only one person stood to gain from this marriage, and it certainly isn't him. He's been in a downward spiral since the "I do's" catapulted Meghan's tyrannical and diva-like campaign.
Meghan has a documented history of using people for her own gain. Several in her own family have described her narcissism and her toxic impact on others. Seems like the only person who didn't know this was Harry.

I loved it. Made me cry at times. Wonderful love story. I wish the real Harry and Meghan a beautiful happy life together.
Pretty much something for single, white basic females to DJ themselves to while wearing UGG boots and sipping PSLs from Starbucks.
This film had at the minimum good casting and passable acting. It seems to be largely based on known fact with your expected fictional extrapolation. It's not The Crown or The Queen, but it was fair entertainment for dearth season viewing. If you hated the one about William and Catherine as much as I did, you should give this one a try. It is far, far better.
I really love this silly made for tv movie. The cast, especially the two who played Harry and Meghan, were great. Great chemistry too!

What a self absorbed couple! 3 episodes of me me me.... A total reliance on the Royal family's belief in never complain never explain. They are thumbing their noses at the British and the British Monarchy. I won't be watching the next episodes I shall be listening to the carols with Princess Catherine and all those supporting her. There is a lady who knows how to behave with grace however difficult the situation- not whine about everything and everyone and blame their situation on everyone but themselves. The whole waste of time was an exercise in self aggrandising. They couldn't even manage to show the truth.
