    Beautifully Made

Don't usually review movies but the low rating prompted this review.

First things first. This movie does not try to be what it's not. The acting is not the greatest but it's not bad also.

What caught my attention is how seamless & "clean" this movie was. It avoided the usual stereotypes and focused on the story & how it unfolds which I found to be a breath of fresh air.

I consider myself very open minded as I tend to like unconventional movies and this is up there with the rest of them.

Words cannot describe my pleasant experience enough - just see the movie. It clearly isn't a big budget movie but the cinematography and score are amazing.

Matured , yet youthful, hip, lush and beautiful!

There's much to be said about the film. The first takeaway was the storyline, which left me with the natural emotion of humanness as opposed to a treatise on power relations or other debates of a philophical nature. After all, the reality of an impending death can strip us from our learned intellectual tendencies and force us to face our true essence and what is really important. The story also delivers a sense of true love between two adults and their capacity to fight back together the adversities that they face. The lush cinematography, the play of lights and interiors add to the beauty, the intensity, and the weight of the life that they share. The music is well curated for each phase of the film. Arsema is undoubtedly the leading character who calls the shots. She has the ability to effortlessly navigate and express the plethora of emotions and attitudes that her role requires. She elevates love . I enjoyed watching how the hospital corridor and the nurse desk were transformed into a galactic dance performance. Mali is a science buff in addition to being a sports lawyer, yet she can also fall in love.

    Beautiful and timeless film! 100/10!

What a beautiful and timeless film!! I loved the story line, the casting, the cinematography, truly a showcase of some of the best talent! The soundtrack was also impeccable! Highly recommend again and again!! The lead actress Arsema Thomas was extremely captivating, she dazzled throughout the entire film. A 100/10 performance from all of them and an important perspective on family, community, compassion, and the overcoming and healing power of love, especially black love. It is truly a classic! The cinematography captures you throughout the whole film, really drawing you into the storyline and the characters. Watch it!

    Didn't Expect This

Maybe it's my personal experiences speaking but MAAAAN, I relate to this story on so many levels. The cinematography is great here and shot selection is THOROUGHLY impressive. The world feels lived in, the story went ways I didn't expect and I can appreciate a lot being done with a little. There are small subtleties between some of these characters where NOTHING is said but somehow entire conversations were had with just eye contact.

Beautiful, Moving, andUnforgettable - She Taught Love

Absolutely loved She Taught Love! This film is a beautiful blend of heartfelt storytelling and stunning performances. The cast brings incredible depth to their characters, making every moment feel real and impactful. The cinematography is gorgeous, capturing the essence of African landscapes and culture. It's inspiring to see such amazing young talent on screen, and this film does a fantastic job of highlighting the creativity and skill of African actors. This isn't just a movie; it's an emotional journey that stays with you. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a meaningful and powerful story!
