Lucy's (Hassie Harrison) boyfriend Gene is played by James Paxton, the son of Bill Paxton. The elder Paxton played a supporting role in Club Dread alongside Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme.
The series was renewed for a fourth season in 2021 with an expected release in 2022. The release was delayed until July 20, 2023.

Heffernan and Lemme are from Broken Lizard and have been in Super Troopers 1 & 2, Club Dread, Beerfest, Puddle Cruiser, and The Slammin' Salmon.
Broken Lizard announced on February 13, 2024 that the show had been canceled by Tru TV.
