Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in Dead to Me (2019)

Trivia

Dead to Me

Edit
Christina Applegate had to take therapy after the show because it triggered other emotional moments in her life.
When it was announced that the third season would be the series' last, it was assumed that Netflix decided to end the show; the streaming platform has become known for rarely airing an original series for more than three to four seasons. However, the series' creator Liz Feldman revealed that it was her suggestion to wrap up the show with Season 3. Feldman said that her decision was inspired by the British comedy-drama Fleabag (2016). Feldman noted that the series aired for two seasons and only 12 episodes, but told a complete story without "filler" episodes.
Katey Sagal, who plays Judy Hale's mom, famously played Christina Applegate's mom in Married... with Children (1987).
Judy (Linda Cardellini) says Steve (James Marsden) has a JFK, Jr. vibe. James Marsden previously played John Kennedy Jr. in The Butler (2013).
Both Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini have previously starred as love interests to Will Ferrell, who's an executive producer of the show - Applegate in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013) and Cardellini in Daddy's Home (2015) and Daddy's Home 2 (2017).
