It's way premature for me to write any accurate or thorough review of this series, as I've only just now finished episode 4 of 8, but I wanted to put a word in about the cast as well as the dubbing.
The cast appears to do an excellent job, overall. There are a few misses, even a major one such as the leader of the Istanbul vampires, Dimitri, who is far too over-the-top and self-absorbed for my taste, but by-and-large this cast shines through convincingly.
The movie is filmed in their native Turkish language (forgive my ignorance; I have not researched what this language or dialect would be called), and subtitled. Additionally, someone decided to take the time and invest in the expense to have the entire scripts dialogue dubbed in English.
I love Kerem Bürsin and he played a very appealing vampire. It's the first non drama Turkish series I've watched and I believe that it has a lot of potential. It was a bit boring and the ending was bad. The show is called Immortals but in the end the immortals are killed, it doesn't make sense. I would love to see Mia (Elçin Sangu) bring Dmitry back to life. More CGI, I mean it is a show about vampires. Honestly I only finished watching the show because of Kerem. His Alpha Male character was on point but I don't get the storyline. Even though the chemistry was there, there was very little action.
I found it boring. I watched up to 3rd or 4th episode and bailed. The big baddie was too juvenile and cocky to make a credible bad guy. Some redeeming qualities include the well played character who was enamoured of vampires. I got a bit tired of the punk trope for the good guys, but I get that it's part of the down trodden neighbourhood. I did not find i worthwhile because the series was taking too much time not only moving the understandable parts of the story along, but also filling in the back story with explanation rather than filler.
I loved this show. I loved the characters, the story, all of it. I just wish it had been a little longer than 8 episodes so it. Could have been fleshed out better. The twist at the end really wraps it up, but at the same time there could have easily been a second season and I wish there was.
If it had been longer, if the main character's backstory and motives had been gone into a little more it would have been better. I also didn't really get the whole romance between Mia and Dmitry, I don't feel like that was done in a natural, organic way, rather it was just written and it simply happened. I'm not mad at it, but given Mia's motives, it didn't make sense with the lack of explanation for it.
All in all, the shortcomings in my opinion are small, had it been fleshed out a little more this would have gotten an easy 10 stars from me.

It started well and promised a lot, but very little was delivered. Dialogue was very bad in many parts and it was frustrating watching actors doing and saying things over and over again, it was very repetitive. By episode 5, I knew the show would have a bad and boring ending and I was not wrong. I love Kerem Bursin, he is a great actor, but still there were moments that I felt that all the good ideas were gone and actors were forced to improvise. Pacing got so slow after episode 5 that I was very tempted to play fast forward several times during the last 4 episodes... The tribe of good guys, was so annoying, their acting was terrible, I reached to a point, that I was desperately waiting for a blood bath their blood. Not to mention that there were many plot holes that were not satisfied. However, if you're a fan of vampire movies, and if you need to watch them all, give this a try, the series has some good moments that may have saved the show partially.
