It's not clear whether this ''new'' show is a collection of out-takes or new material, but there is one noticeable difference - a focus on the design talents of Joanne, and only the briefest attention paid to Chip's ''comedy'' shtick. Nor is there any sign of their kids or their goats. This automatically makes this version of the show more watchable than the original version. If this is Fixer Upper: The Director's Cut, I hope it catches on with other HGTV/DIY shows. Think about it: Holmes: Minus the Sanctimony. Baulmer: No More Snark. Flip or Flop: We Fired the Whiney Dweeb
