Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018 (2018)

Trivia

Eurovision Song Contest Lisbon 2018

Edit
The UK Entry suffered a stage invasion.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) banned Chinese broadcaster Mango TV from airing this year's second semi-final and the grand final of The Eurovision Song Contest after cutting the performances of Albania and Ireland from the first semi-final. Albania's performer was heavily tattooed and Ireland's performance included two male dancers portraying a gay relationship. Also, rainbow flags were pixelated.
The winning song is inspired by the #MeToo Movement, but it's most notable feature is Netta's chicken dance.
This year, 2018, the Televoting combined results points were announced and added to the Jury results, which had been announced using the usual 1-8, 10 and 12 points, added in sequential order of which country got the least Televote points first, to which country got the highest number of Televotes, this giving . In effect, three Results - the Winner of the Jury Voting, the Winner of the Televoting, and the Winner with the most combined points. (In 2019, in a change to the results announcement format, the Televote results were announced in sequential order of the countries which had received the lowest earlier Jury Results, to the highest Jury Results, thus resulting in a more random positioning until the last Televote points were added.)
The winner was Israel with the song "Toy", performed by Netta and written by Doron Medalie and Stav Beger.
