Treasure Hunt (2018)

Trivia

Treasure Hunt

Edit
"Treasure Hunt" is a mentor movie sponsored by the Christian Youth Film Society. With the exception of its director, mentors, and three adult acting bit parts, the production was the result of the talented teens of CYFS.
The youngest crew member was 11-years-old and worked for two days of production. Of the three core crew members who worked at least 13 of the 19 shooting days, two started production at 15-years-old and one was 17-years-old.
Emily Craw worked on 18 of the 19 production days. (The reason she missed one of the production days was because she had to take her college entrance exams!) She began as Head of Hair and Makeup and would continue in that role to the end of production. But her organizational and leadership skills proved invaluable and the title of Associate Producer had to be added.
The production was to be shot over a six-month period, on six different weekends, at six different locations, but the hard winter of 2016-2017 flooded two locations, and its destruction eliminated one location completely. The cast, crew, and parents rallied to reschedule and the production took 19 days spread out from November 11, 2016 to November 5, 2017.
Dominic Hure, who played Earnest O'Brien, was on his high school swim team. The chemicals in the pool began to destroy the head and body hair on all the swimmers. Dominic's hair broke off short, thinned out, and its color looked dead. It required a reshoot of some scenes and for him to wear his hat through the majority of the shoot. (Hure is pronounced Hyur-ee.)
