Temporary chaos
A more dynamic episode with more development of the plot and characters, has the perfect point of action and adds interesting touches of comedy, an incredible scene of number five escaping in pain with Queen music in the background generating a very catchy atmosphere.
I Still Need to Figure It Out
First of all, I had no idea this is based on a comic book series. I have had about enough of them infesting the entire movie industry. That doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed some of them, but it means that for those whose lives don't center around these things, we need a watcher's guide. That said, I thought this was interesting. Number 5 is at the center of things and knows how the world ends. He has salvaged a manufactured eyeball that seems to have some significance. Of course, he is a product of the Umbrella Academy. We all know how it came about, but we don't know the motivation. We get occasional flashbacks that fill things in. I'm hoping to find out why 5 is being pursued by a military force. Why is he the target? I'm assuming organized crime of some kind. The torturing of the poor guy from the auto shop was over the top, considering he knew nothing. I guess I'll give it a third shot.
Are you kidding me?!?
This and the first episode was so bad it made me quit the show. "Stick with it" yeah I know, this failed to interest me and it's the makers' fault.
You better run, boy
No improvement in the story-telling department. This may have been very popular as a Dark Horse comic, but it is crap as a television show.
Run, before your time is forever lost.
Next episode will tell if I keep watching this crap fest

Time-Bending Drama Unfolds but still slow
This episode continues to unravel the tangled web of the Hargreeves siblings' lives. This episode digs deeper into their backstories and sets the stage for the complex dynamics that will define the series. While there are moments that shine, some aspects feel a bit too familiar and hinder the overall experience. One of the episode's strengths is its ability to flesh out the characters and their relationships. We get a closer look at Number Five's intriguing time-traveling abilities, which serve as a pivotal plot device. His urgency to prevent an impending apocalypse adds a layer of tension that keeps us engaged. However, relying heavily on Five's time-travel escapades can make the plot feel a bit one-dimensional. This over-dependence might leave viewers wondering if the show will eventually offer more than just a time-traveling twist.
The show's production value remains top-notch, with impressive cinematography and a distinct visual style that sets it apart from other superhero series. The use of music, especially in the montage scenes, continues to elevate the narrative, adding an emotional depth that complements the unfolding drama.
Despite these strengths, the episode occasionally stumbles over its own ambitions. The plot's development feels somewhat sluggish, as if the story is taking its time to find its footing. While character development is essential, the pacing could benefit from more urgency, as some viewers might find themselves impatiently waiting for the narrative to pick up speed. Moreover, certain characters, while interesting, can become a bit annoying due to their exaggerated quirks like Klaus's chaotic antics, while essential to their characters, it's really testing my patience. The show's effort to balance multiple storylines can sometimes feel unfocused, leaving us with the sense that it is trying to juggle too many balls at once.
Overall, this episode does a commendable job of building on the foundation laid by the first episode. It delves into the characters' complexities and teases the promise of more significant conflicts ahead.

- Quotes
Vanya Hargreeves: Why didn't you just time travel back?
Number Five: [sarcastically] Wish I'd thought of that! Time travel is a crapshoot. I went into the ice and never acorn-ed. You think I didn't try everything to get back to my family?
