Glenda Jackson in Elizabeth Is Missing (2019)

Trivia

Elizabeth Is Missing

Edit
After a number of years in a political career, this is the first time in 27 years, Glenda Jackson has appeared in a television role.
Some location filming was done in the Knightswood area of Glasgow. BBC Scotland frequently use this area and the places seen in this production can also be seen in other current BBC productions including Scot Squad and Two Doors Down.
Maud tells the police officer she would not get into a car with him if he was Stirling Moss. Stirling Moss (1929-2020) was a British Formula One racing driver who has been described as "the greatest driver never to win the World Championship." He was awarded the Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 1959, and Knighthood of the British Empire in 2000 for his services to the motor-racing industry.
Lucy Mangan of The Guardian, wrote that Glenda Jackson "is wonderful, in that vanishingly rare way that can come only from next-level talent as razor-sharp as it ever was plus 40 years of honing your technique, whetting both blades on 80 years of life experience."
When Maud is asked is she liked Vera Lynn she scoffs and says she preferred Evelyn Knight.
