When shooting the first gore scene where Julie get attacked by zombies and intestines are eaten the producer end effects creator Kenneth Hansebråten had to step in as a Zombie. Director Jon Helge told Kenneth that one actor was missing and he had to play the part as all other extras on set was vegan. Very reluctant he agreed as he knew what the stuff was made of. The whole scene took about 10hours to make.
