Harry Shum Jr. and Jessica Rothe in All My Life (2020)

Quotes

All My Life

Edit
  • [First lines]
  • Jenn Carter: The average person lives 27,375 days. That's all we get, if we're lucky. 27,375. At first, I thought it didn't really seem like a lot of time. But then again, how many days do we really remember anyway? Most days pass by unnoticed, unremarkable, unmarked. Because we only remember the days when we feel something happened... something beautiful or tragic. Most days will pass in a blur. So many of mine did. They were lost in routine or school *or both*. I didn't notice my life was becoming a series of forgotten days. Everything was being saved for later. Live spontaneously, later. Travel, later. Find love, later. But everything can change in a day, and what might be missing become so very clear.
  • Jenn Carter: I'm no widow, Sol. I am your bride.
  • Jenn Carter: Mistakes I can handle, but regrets I can't live with.
  • Dave Berger: The best man can't be the best dressed. He can be the best looking, but not the best dressed.
  • Solomon 'Sol' Chau: The liver is like our one X-men organ.
  • Solomon 'Sol' Chau: I am usually very witty and charming.
  • Jenn Carter: I will kick you out if you suck to live with, and I'm gonna know fast.
  • Jenn Carter: The average person... lives 27,375 days.
  • Jenn Carter: That's all we get, if we're lucky. 27,375.
  • Jenn Carter: At first, I thought it didn't seem like a lot of time.
  • Jenn Carter: But then again, how many days do we remember anyway?
  • Jenn Carter: But everything can change. In a day. In an Instant.
  • Jenn Carter: And what might be missing becomes so very clear.
  • Jenn Carter: Thankfully, for me, for all of us... ... Sol made it clear.
  • Jenn Carter: A full life can't be a series of forgotten days.
  • Jenn Carter: If you're not happy, change. Shift gears. Take a chance.
  • Jenn Carter: LATER, is NOT guaranteed. Life is NOT MEANT to be LIVED LATER.
  • Jenn Carter: Sol always looked for moments. A laugh, a kiss, a taste, a dance.
  • Jenn Carter: That was his gift to us.
  • Jenn Carter: Reminding us to collect moments Everyday!
  • Jenn Carter: Because in finding those moments, days will never blur.
  • Jenn Carter: In those moments, you will find yourself.
  • Jenn Carter: I wish we had more time together.
  • Jenn Carter: But I am so grateful for the time we had.
  • Jenn Carter: Because of Sol, I'm living for today. Living for now.
  • Jenn Carter: And, I know what it means to love.
  • Jenn Carter: And be loved. To truly feel loved.
  • Jenn Carter: I'll let the moments in my life guide me.
  • Jenn Carter: And heal me. And strengthen me. And inspire me.
  • Jenn Carter: I will live that way.
  • Jenn Carter: Every Day. For All of My Life.
