Bad acting, bad script, boring, weird jokes that are often not funny.
I didn't think it would be this bad and expected 5-6/10 flick with some humor, but bad script just didn't cut it.
Busted ball. Game over.
Who was this intended to be for? Kids or adults? For the most part, its that typical thin plot of a superstar with a huge ego who needs humbling and ends up in a situation where he learns his lesson... only its not there in this one... well, at least what he learns isn't much and a disappointing end.
The whole thing is presented in stupid PG rated family comedy, only it doesn't get a PG rating for the profanity used... which is the problem... it needed to go one way or the other, either make it the stupid PG rated feel good movie, or go adult comedy orientated and go all the way. Instead its some lost in-between typical done-to-death premise that didnt know if it was a kids movie or adults, but leaned more towards a kids film for the most part while it fails as an adult comedy.
Jerry O'Connell plays a pro baller who has been traded to a city to bring them their first championship, but gets suspended and finds himself having to play for a team of.... well, let's say, not misfits, not underdogs, not special needs, just some random team thrown together.... huh? Why?? This is just a badly written and confusing idea. His agreement is if he plays for them he might have his suspension lifted to play in game 7 of the fictional NBA leagues team he plays for championship gane.... yeah, you read right.. game 7... if his team could even get that far in the championship they dont need him anyway lol. Its a stupid premise for any movie
So like me, you're probably already not invested in caring about what happens to this guy in the end. So he meets his new team and typical done to death plots of new guy gets picked on, new guy does something so he's OK, new guy and team bond yadda yadda yadda... the comedy should have focused more on playing teams like the tourettes team, the man child's and guys who cuss for therapeutic reasons, thats where the only comedy found in this film is found, but that's it, and very little of its entertaining. It instead force feeds in a thin side plot that this guy needs to stop worrying about his career and be a family man... and then it takes over the finale that's built up to nothing and makes the entire movie pointless to have sat through as nothing pays off in the end, and it just stupidly ends like they ran out of funding, shelved the film for a couple of years, then slapped on a cheap ending just to finish the film rather than satisfyingly tie it up for an ending that works, and just threw it to Tubi as something they can have because they can't get enough filler content to try an impress with a large library of free to watch content rather than think if anyone should ever watch these stinkers. I'll be willing to put money on my guess being what actually happened here!

Worst film I've seen in quite a while
There is nothing redeeming about this so-called film. The writers went for comedy and came up with cringe. I managed to watch it all the way through, a true feat indeed considering how bad it was. I suppose it was less about entertainment and more about curiosity... the kind of curiosity one might have passing the spectacle of a gruesome accident: you want to look away but you just can't. If there is anything good to say about this disaster, it's that it will motivate you to turn off the TV and do some reading or whatever.
Not for everyone but not bad
This film isn't for everyone. If you're the type that needs intellectual entertainment, looking at this through your academy nominating eyes, then this isn't your film. But if you're the type of person that likes mindless comedy, crude jokes, and easy laughs, you'll enjoy this film. It takes easy cheap shots (no pun intended) and what's scary is some of these shenanigans are loosely depicted from the writers actual personal experiences on the road as a pro ball player. A great way to not think and just laugh at silly jokes for 90 minutes.
Heeeee - Heeeeeeeeee!
So stupid you have to watch it.
Director: Tom Hines and Writers: Mark S. Allen, Howard Burd are to be congratulated for coming up with this mess!
A narcoleptic basketball player - what a hoot!
Adult babies!
And the TSA basketball team - it's not what you think!

Did you know
- TriviaThe rundown charity team bus, was run down; Luenell's first scene driving was in fact the last time the bus moved on it's own power, the engine blew same day.
- GoofsProducer Mark S. Allen was placed in a role as "angry female fan" and had to throw an adult toy at Jerry O' Connell. The object hitting Jerry was to be added in post; however, the object accidentally hit Jerry aggressively in the face! That's the one and only take and made the cut.
