At first I was skeptical to watch it, I heard about the film through a family member not too long after my husband died by suicide. It took me months to actually watch it. For a short film, it's powerful. It shows how much your life changes. You'll laugh a little, but you'll definitely cry. Even if it doesn't hit home for you personally. Would highly recommend watching. If you're a "suicide survivor" like myself, it's absolutely worth the 9 minutes.
I have watched Jacob a few times now and each time it has really touched me. It comes from an honest place and is told with humor but somehow doesn't steal from the seriousness of the topic. Really well done short!

A story told by the brother of a suicide victim that cleary conveys his pain, anguish and more importantly his thoughts through the whole ordeal. Very moving piece.
As a suicide attempt survivor seeing the other side of this horrible tragedy that hits home to so many people, it's absolutely moving to see how Bobby chase articulated his pain with laughter and witty words. This short film is amazing and I hope everyone sees it at least once!

I had a very strong reaction to this film. It touches on important topics related to dealing with tragedy and the effects that are felt by survivors. Impressive production quality on top of the powerful story.

This film places you squarely in the shoes of Bobby Chase at the time he discovered his brothers body immediately following Jacob's suicide in the basement of their family home. It is powerful, heartbreaking and a must see film. He brings the all too ignored subject of suicide and mental health into the light. Sharing his story creates a segway for a thorough discussion of a once difficult but important subject. Well done and thank you.
