Trivia
One of the criminals being hanged is announced as one "James Saville", a rather obvious allusion to real-life (in)famous British TV programs presenter, Jimmy Savile (complete with his trademark long white hair and all) who, after his death in 2011, was found to have sexually abused dozens of children in his lifetime.

Goofs
Public executions were banned in the UK in 1868, while the events taking place in 1960's, so the execution scene is not accurate, and of course there were no televised executions either. These facts notwithstanding, these fictional characters and events take place in a fictional universe set within nonfictional times and places, which is exhibited on several occasions. As such, allowances can be made for fictional "inaccuracies".
