More than a well crafted short horror, a beautiful parable about captivity in past. About toxic relations. And about sicl jealousy.

Each of them makes Goodbye Old friend just interesting in profound sense.

Fair atmosphere, a door as border, a trick to test fidelity and reactions of spoiled child from a character useful only in childhood. Easy to admire the art of Rafael De Leon Jr. To not say but remind essential truths defining us.

In short, a smart film with touch of dark aspect of a long term relation.
