Trivia

Seal Team

Edit
The film is set in Africa, so all the "seals" are Cape Fur Seals (Arctocephalus pusillus). They are much more closely related to sea lions than true seals, and share with them external ears (pinnae), relatively long and muscular foreflippers, and the ability to walk on all fours. In the US, they'd be easily confused with California sea lions (Zalophus californianus), because both fur seals and sea lions are from the same family, commonly known as Eared Seals (Otariidae).
Uses the same animation used in the Lego Movie films, The Peanuts Movie (2015), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018), Promare (2019), The Willoughbys (2020), and The Spongebob Movie: Sponge on the Run (2020).
Triggerfish Animation's 3rd film, after Adventures in Zambezia (2012) and Khumba (2013).
Patrick Warburton's fourteenth theatrically released animated film after The Emperor's New Groove (2000), Home on the Range (2004), Chicken Little (2005), the Hoodwinked films, The Wild (2006), Open Season (2006), Happily N'Ever After (2006), Bee Movie (2007), Space Chimps (2008), Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014), Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014), and Animal Crackers (2017).
John Kani's 2nd time voice acting in a theatrical film, after The Lion King (2019) released two years prior, as well as his first fully animated one.
