Trivia

Cold Walls

Edit
The majority of the production was shot at Saint Edward's Seminary in Kenmore, WA. It is the same location that Macklemore used to film the music video for "Kevin".
There were three skull replicas on set and were named by some of the cast and crew after a few popular directors: Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, and Terry Gilliam. Only two were used in the film (Hitchcock & Gilliam). Hitchcock is the skull in the film that actually shatters. While the skull, Gilliam, currently looks like it's the most damaged (as all that is left of it is the nose area); during the shoot it only got a little scuffed up and broke a few teeth. The rest of the damage was caused during a meal break, when the cast and crew were having a bit of fun and decided to drop it from the fourth floor of the building.
During some of the cast and crews meal breaks, three other short films were created on the main location. Two comedies and one action. One of these short films was included in the blooper reel during the pilot's theatrical premier.
The smokey atmosphere in Devon's control room was created with the art director's, Christopher Jerrytone, vape pen.
Each of the weapons in the show that either currently belong to Helix or came from her box labeled "Helix's Friends" in the confiscation room were named after musicians. Helix's signature spiked golf club, Alice, is named after Alice Cooper. Stratton's robbins dudley is named Zander after Robin Zander of Cheap Trick. Also mentioned (and briefly seen) in the pilot episode is a bowie knife named David after David Bowie and an ax named Debbie after Debbie Harry (the line in the script was even written as "Debbie's great in a Harry situation").
