About halfway through the film, you can hear the voice of actor/producer Sammie Cassell delivering the off screen line, "the end is near." This is a call back to Cassell's first credited acting role and his first collaboration with director, Dan Sellers in the horror feature "Hank vs. The Undead" (2014).
The original theme by composer, Judson Hurd that's played through the film's credits was originally written as an alternate theme to "Midnight Shift" (2017).
The religious cult in the film, The Church of the Holy Dawn is loosely based on an amalgamation of several real-life cults including the Branch Davidians, Heaven's Gate and the Peoples Temple (Jonestown.)
