The player's partner Eevee cannot evolve. The player can, however, capture wild Eevee on Route 17 (west of Celadon City), which can only evolve into evolutions present in the Generation I Pokédex, namely Vaporeon, Flareon, or Jolteon. Eevee's evolutionary forms introduced in subsequent generations, namely Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon, are not obtainable in this game.
