A Girl's Guide to Ghosting

7/10

So terrible... snicker... so awful

This is truly one of those "so bad it's good" films. Not that it's bad. The two lead actors are actually pretty good. The first thing one must realize is you can't take anything in this series seriously. If you do, you've missed the point. This is pure fan-film schlock and intended precisely as such. It's Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. It's Lost Skeleton of the Caldera. Well okay, it's neither of those.

At times the acting is so extremely bad it makes a person wince. But then, it's *supposed* to be extremely bad... so is it actually bad or really good bad acting? The story is fun, the two main characters are entertaining, and there's an actual plot to the film with a fun ending.

If anyone wonders why this (currently) has an 8.9 rating, probably 28 of those 29 reviews are from cast members. I accept the 8.9 based on "being true to its terrible nature". Look, if one is going to watch schlock, at least watch good schlock. This is pretty good schlock. It was fun all the way through. It held together.

The filming was good. The sound editing was good. The lighting and sets were good. It has all the makings of an excellent film. Except of course for the fact that it's bonkers, which it was totally intended to be. So there. ;D
