In Germany, they've mistakenly believed for decades that they excel at making comedic and parodic crime dramas. Otherwise, they produce serious, socially critical films with wrinkled detectives. Action is left to Hollywood. And most of the time, that's a good thing. Sarah Kohr is unique on German TV. Her stories are told in a straightforward and fast-paced manner, packed with action, in which the energetic Lisa Maria Potthoff uncovers conspiracies and takes down the villains without saying much. I can't think of any other German actress who could be so convincing in this role. A pleasure every time. (My only gripe is the habit of regularly writing relationships between strong female protagonists and their bosses into the script. Especially when, as here, there's almost a quarter of a century between them.)
