Creepshow (2019)

Trivia

Creepshow

Edit
In the segment "The House of Head" the Indian is an exact replica of the Indian from Creepshow 2 "Old Chief Wood'nhead." Also the ashtray on the table next to the head is a replica of the murder weapon from "Father's Day" in the original Creepshow.
Adrienne Barbeau, who appeared in the original Creepshow movie as Billie in "The Crate," has also been cast. Her episode is called "Gray Matter," a 1973 Stephen King story, published in his 1978 collection, Night Shift, adapted by Byron Willinger and Philip de Blasi (The Commuter), directed by series showrunner Greg Nicotero.
Showrunner Greg Nicotero said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in July 2019 that he has worked on some testing shoots, from his early days assisting fellow special effects wizard Tom Savini on George A. Romero's 1985 zombie classic Day of the Dead to his executive-producing, and directing, of AMC's The Walking Dead, but he found overseeing Shudder's new anthology horror series Creepshow his most difficult professional task to date. He said "I was very ambitious and attacked Creepshow with a lot of tenacity. We were set to do six episodes, but I insisted that we shoot twelve stories in six episodes, because I wanted that Creepshow feel. So, we ended up having to create an entirely new universe, with an entirely new cast, every three and a half days. Ugh, every night I couldn't sleep, because I was trying to figure out how we were going to do it! It was crazy. It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Now that I'm seeing it coming together, and putting all the icing on the cake, it's pretty spectacular."
In the "Skincrawler" episode displayed in a glass case, is the Pazuzu statue from the Exorcist.
Creepshow stars a bevy of names new and old, with Adrienne Barbeau returning from the movie alongside talent like David Arquette, Tobin Bell, Jeffrey Combs, Giancarlo Esposito, Kid Cudi, and Big Boi.
