The casting was perfect. Vajramuni, though looks slightly short for any royal or asuric roles, he does compensate that physical shortage with his splendid acting. Bhavya is as usual wonderful. Sridhar is obviously apt for Shiva's role as he is a fine dancer.
The film is about why and how Jagadamba Devi takes the form of Mokkambika and the asura she kills. The film also has the famous moment where Mookambika appears before Shankaracharya at Kollur.
The film has a lot of devotional songs. It is worth a watch and is freely available on YouTube.
