Fairytale

This a very intimate movie with great consequences. Verity is stopping to see her sister Lily, and her father comes home. He is a detective, and a monster. Verity then leaves and goes on the run, not knowing exactly where she will wind up. And she speaks very little. She winds up getting a ride from Bec, who has an equally sad story. Bec ran away from home, got pimped, spent five years in prison, and has to contend with her pimp. When she gets into a tussle with him, Verity intervenes, and off they go. And Verity tells Bec: "I killed a monster today Or was it yesterday?" That seems to form a bond. This is emotionally very powerful about two women who have been abused and broken by monsters. But don't monsters always die in fairy tales? The big problem for me is that last act of the movie is inconsistent with what one expects, and seems a huge flaw.
