This Colombian drama is centred on a group of undercover operatives working for the Colombian police to infiltrate the drug cartels. Most of the agents are women and their work is far from easy. They are frequently in perilous situations and any suspicion that they might be law enforcement officers is likely to be fatal. As the series starts we are introduced to Amelia, who is in perhaps the most danger having infiltrated a group moving drugs through the jungle; Sandra and 'Coyote' who pose as a couple to get close to the cartel's accountant; Tatiana, who investigates their chief pilot and new girl Alejandra, who must be trained before her first missions. As well as worrying about their missions each has personal issues to deal with as well. They are under the guidance of Col Cristobal Porto and his deputy María Emma Maldonado Vargas.
Before watching this I hadn't thought of watching anything from Colombia, and must admit I was nearly put off by the fact that the series is sixty episodes long... I'm glad I decided to give it a go though as I enjoyed it from start to finish. The characters, both good and bad, are impressive; the heroes have some flaws and their foes aren't mere pantomime villains. The story moves at a good pace and there is frequently a good sense of danger. I liked the fact that the characters stories were intertwined rather than having episodes dedicated to what was going on in a single location. The cast does a fine job bringing their characters to life and production values means everything looks great. Overall I'd certainly recommend this to fans of crime dramas.
