Louise Penny, an actress and singer, questions her talent as a performer when she fails to get the part in a 1920s musical. Her piano player friend Bennie sympathizes and tries to cheer her up by playing the piano for her. It works, and the two sing a duet. When Louise chokes on a grape she has eaten, she collapses and hits her head on the floor and passes out cold.
