Not 100% solid all the way through. Some of the plot contrivances are forced, but nonetheless, surprisingly touching here and there - and the unpredictable plot keeps us guessing and involved to the end. NIce to see a movie without villains or violence.
This movie had a lot of potential. I think had they spent more time on the script and tried to make the story more plausible it would have been a great movie.
This would probably make a great stage play because these types of coincidental encounters are a bit more believable watching with a laughing crowd. Most likely, the writer probably was used to watching plays and writing for that type of audience.
The music was very repititive and many times tried way to hard to influence the audience to cue them what should be ahppening next. What that ended up doing was to leave a lot of the mystery about what might happen next disappear. For instance, any time talk started to veer in a serious direction he piano came out, and when something was supposed to be funny it seemed like slapstick music.
All those things being said, I stuck through watching it because I liked the concept of the story.

The acting by the leads was exceptional, particularly Natasha Little. The first three supporting actor over the top performances were for me unconvincing and cringeworthy.
I am glad I kept watching; almost stopped at initial supporting actor performances. I haven't been to a stage play in decades, but this seems very like one.
Deep love for someone with whom a life is impossible is a heartbreak I hope few experience.

The main characters are great, with such chemistry and believability. They kept this movie together.
Unfortunately, most of the side characters were more like caricatures, almost derailing the entire thing. Have to place the blame on the writer/director.
The characters and antics of the hotel employees was just too over the top, and ended up being more of a distraction than anything. I'm not convinced that they even needed to exist, as they lent virtually nothing to the plot.

... this was an unusual movie to watch-rate... so-uneven at points just wanted to stop watching seeing was on verge of cringeness... other times was as as good as majority of the genre.. even a little better... casting definitely-mostly pulling this one through.

If you ever come across this movie in search for a genuine heartfelt love story, you really don't have to look any further...
This was very much in line with films like Richard Linklater's "Before Sunrise", where the dialog flows so naturally along the movie and the connection between the main characters is so palpable that you sometimes even forget about the storyline; you feel as if you are right there with them and even begin to feel the same feelings.
It's just wonderful. If one of the main objectives of a film is to move you, then this one gets top marks.
You could guess this movie wasn't made on a particularly high budget, but you definitely don't feel it throughout: good sound, good photography, great actors...
Very well done. Highly recommended.
Other than the scenes with the character of Kayla, whom I was rooting for, and a couple of suprises here and there, the movie is rather sluggish. The ending feels a little too melodramatic.

If you ever encountered someone for a brief period and wondered 'what if', you will enjoy this film. Not hilarious, but some comical moments and no sap. Recommend.

I really liked this movie so I am writing this review to encourage others to watch I hope the Director/writer writes another one or gives us a sequel. The plot of the movie is fresh. At first, it moves slow and then picks up. It is like love.
I really like the lead actress. How she speaks is sooo sexy. You can feel the love. Watch it.

Absolutely beautiful film complete with wonderful acting and directing. The undeniable chemistry between main characters left me wanting for more, the love story was sincere and touching. The sub-stories with hotel staff were absolutely hilarious, almost theatrical, giving it a nice backdrop and a well- balanced contrast to the main storyline which felt real and gentle. Loved the film. May we have a sequel?

Natasha Little, Rupert Penny-Jones, and Rachel Blanchard star in this well made film. The trick that works is the visible chemistry between Little and Penny-Jones. That tension never realized builds like a forest fire that consumes everything. Their attraction is so explosive that the screen is filled with that unrealized love. This is the first time I have seen something so tangible that is unrequited. There is a lesson in the power of not acting out a momentous emotion until the final moment is consumed by the longest most gentle, lingering kiss. This is a perfect love story where no intercourse interferes.

I saw this movie on Amazon Prime and decided to give it a try. I was ambivalent about my expectations. It could have been just some silly slapstick, or an over the top attempt at humor, or overly sappy. It avoids all of that. While the story line might be slightly implausible, in the long run, the characters act appropriately. I wanted the story in end differently, but the ending I wanted would have been too cliche, so kudos to the director and writers for avoiding it.
I don't believe I had seen any of the actors before, so I had no expectations. The cast did not disappoint.
Overall, it's a really good movie.

Not the cinematic or crazy deep type of movies, just a very sweet movie with some humour. Perfect for holidays or when you want something bright and easy. I liked it.

A small cast of excellent actors spin this offbeat situation into a hysterically funny off-the-wall comedy and then land it on its feet as a purely romantic, love story. No fancy footwork special effects, just very funny dialogue, great acting and directing. A comedy for adults.

So well-done in every way-about how life's most changing events happen in the day-to-day. Wonderfully written and perfectly played. A movie for adults, and both men and women. Not a chick flick. Expressions of genuine friendship among men and maturity amongst women. Sweet, real, uncomplicated but captivating story about the way a few different people interact with one another as they walk though a couple of days of life during a visit to a home town for different reasons for two main characters who meet along the way of their individual reasons for visiting. The things said are what would come out of our own mouths in these encounters-not some overly-wrought scripting even though the feelings and circumstances being dealt with are the stronger ones we deal with in life: a high school reunion-and so much of the garbage that comes with them even though we all secretly go into them with hopes of bedazzlement, and a funeral and house-clearing of a relation. It's not often in a movie that the choices made by the characters are the choices you would make or you would really want someone to make toward you, never over-the-topping it with slapstick to remind you these are characters and not real people. Not here. These are written to be and played to be real people. You just want everything to workout for everyone.

A telling of life, extremely relatable. Its a story of the track lives take from choices made, and sacrificing what seems like happiness in a moment for what seems to be the right and responsible decisions to make. Every character has the same life arch following paths to where they are now, even the character of the brother only spoken of and the background noise of the hotel staff. Its a solid watch full of depth and real life perceptions.
I actually really liked this indie movie. Sure it's unrealistic, the music is repetitive, and some of the acting makes it feel like a stage production, but you do feel immersed in this small town. The viewer gets a good sense of how Luke went from a promiscuous and troubled high schooler to a man with drive and determination.
The hotel staff and the reverend provide most of the comedic moments while the main character and his two lady friends provide the drama and heart. This is not an award-winner by any means, but it's memorable and light. You really don't need A-list actors to make a quality picture - this cast sustains itself.

I absolutely loved this movie. I wasn't sure I would based on the trailer, but decided to give it a try due to the phenomenal main actors...Can't go wrong with Rupert and Natasha. The story evolved nicely, the chemistry between the main actors was phenomenal, and the music was beautiful. I also liked how the cinematography started and ended at the entrance of the hotel's revolving doors.
