The first time that actor Thomas Ely Sage hit the table with the wooden nightstick, the baton broke in two pieces under his grip. A bit of tape helped hold it together for the other takes in the scene.
There was a lengthy interval between shooting the office and jail sequences, to the gas station scenes. Actor Thomas Ely Sage (Fly Guy/Guard) had enough time to grow out his hair and beard from the first part of filming to play a different character (Hairy Stoner) in the second part.
