In May 2023, Rolling Stone published an article with interviews with former and current employees about what they described as challenging working conditions that were "traumatizing to their mental health." The staff said they were overworked and underpaid and had to pick up additional jobs as "babysitters, dog walkers, and Uber Eats drivers" for financial security. Kelly Clarkson told The Hollywood Reporter that that news "blindsided" her and she didn't know it was happening.
