"A Thirsty, Thorny Situation"

Surprisingly good watch, could watch again, and can recommend.

The beginning is a little rough as they're establishing the world and lore of "The Magic Waterstone", and they come REALLY close to an underlying racism metaphor a couple of times, but having watched the entire movie, it doesn't seem like it panned out.

The characters are just grumpy and likeable enough that each sort of has its own charm. I would have appreciated more finely tuned characters, but the cg aesthetic does seem to make up for it.

It's not a great movie by far, but I think it is good enough that younger audiences will like it and it is well enough composed that adults would be able to watch it with their kids without being too bored.

Not fun for the whole family..

Latte and the Magic Waterstone was honestly kinda boring.

It had a plot that could've worked out, if it wasn't for the numerous gaps in its logic and explanation that personally ruined the movie. I think the uninspired, boring story writing was probably the worst aspect of the movie overall. The characters did their job, but they weren't really memorable or stuck to you well.

The only thing that the movie was able to knock out of the park, however, was definitely the graphics. Each scene was definitely fresh and vivid with colour, and the textures of the things in the world were really high quality. However, the animation part of the graphics weren't great and I definitely saw better, especially when it came to lip-syncing.

Overall, an honest middle-of-the-road movie experience. It's a great movie for kids, and has a few nice values and meanings, but for older kids and adults, the movie certainly felt unfinished and rushed to some extent.

Some Magic and some "humanity"

Of course animals in most movies are depicted "human like" and this is no different. It is not just the fact that they talk, but how they behave and all that. Now let's be clear, this is not Pixar. Not even close and I'm not even talking about the animation style (don't forget this does not even have close to the same budget Pixar movies would have), but also story wise.

But it can still be fun, especially for the little ones. And while you watch it with them, you can have fun with them. Nice social message overall and fine or decent movie in my opinion

Teaches children rude and bullying behavior

We didn't make it 8 minutes into the movie before we saw/heard name calling, scaring others to be mean, dishonesty, theft, teasing, the list goes on. There was also bullying of another character because he didn't know who his father was.

The dialog within this movie is such that it actually teaches bad behavior and bullying. I am surprised that during this time of 'All Are Equal and Deserve To Be Treated Fairly', that anyone would broadcast such a film.

It is disgusting that it should be under a G rating and posted on children's lists on Netflix.

Mean

This is a mean and nasty film, the way the adult characters speak to the child characters makes you understand why the child characters are all bullies! The creatures all have a really mean spirited and negative attitude and at one point they make fun of another's accent! After that I turned it off, there was no message to be gained from this film let alone family-fun entertainment.

Terrible language for a kids film

We only made it 5 minutes in before my 6 year old was telling me that this movie was naughty. The animals were calling each other names like moron.

A family movie

An animated adventure film. It is about a hedgehog and a squirrel who are going to search the mountains for a magic stone of water because their village is drying up, in the way of various obstacles to reach it. Predictable like all of its kind. The start is slow but suddenly takes off. Based on a children's story. Entertaining Quality. The colors are spectacular. The animation is spectacular. Talk about the importance of water and its care, as well as the value of friendship. A movie to watch with the whole family.

Weird and terrible

You'll notice the reviews here rating this above 6 have the same weird broken English as the movie does at times. I don't know if this has something to do with the movie apparently being originally a German release. There are some bizarre and probably inappropriate phrases for kids. Wasn't particularly fond of the line, "sometimes a lie just feels right." I wondered if it was maybe an issue with a phrase that couldn't be directly translated, but I speak some German and I'm not familiar with any phrase or saying that would have to be translated this way.

There are just a lot of really weird and illogical phrases and conversations. Absolutely nonsensical at times. Weak, almost non-existent storyline. My four year old didn't like it, but forced us to watch it through to the end. If you read reviews before watching movies- avoid this movie. There are literally hundreds of better movies on all platforms.

Straight up dog

This is the worst animated movie I've ever seen Straight up dog shi.

This needs to at least contain 150 characters so this movie is horrible i don't wish it upon my worst enemy i have a burning hatred for this move.

Adorable!

The characters were all very well defined. It's really great to see a female lead who is plucky and brave and drives the action! I think adults will enjoy this as much as the kids do.

A wonderful animated film with a message

...And at just the right time! The storyline is meaningful and apropos to the solutions to our current human conditions, the characters are robust and believable characters, the animation is superb, and the voiceover is superb! All of the actors did a wonderful job! I don't want to spoil it by telling you my favorites, check it out for yourself!

A perfect Movie release at the right time, Amazing Voice-Over Actors!

Watched the Movie twice and with family. Wonderful movie filled with emotion and fear. An Amazing Hedgehog and all the other animals were so good. The sceens flowed properly and it had a great balance of normal and then excitment. Love the plot and the journey they were on to capture something that could save them all. Oh and also liked the bears and their humor.

Heartwarming and Fun Adventure Movie

This is such a heartwarming and fun adventure story. The characters were lovable and relatable. The animation is beautiful, and it's a great movie for kids.

I also absolutely loved the synchronized swimming bears! The whole film brought me so much joy.

Ecoanimation

A very cool and at the same time informative fairy tale for the youngest and not only about climate changes on our Earth. Water shortage, droughts all over the world are an ongoing problem. It depends on us how we continue to shape our planet. From the technical side, a very nice animation, detailed fur details. I RECOMMEND this ani animation movie.
