Fans of the show have funded 10 billboards on 3 continents in their campaign to have the series renewed.
Episode 6 was entirely filmed in the small town of Ronda, Spain, except the inside of the church. The city has only about 33.000 inhabitants. Ronda was founded around year 500, and has since been the epicentre of a lot of wars. During the year 1065 the population decreased from 15.600 to 5.000.
Four months after Warrior Nun cancellation news broke, the fandom support for a continuation of the story appeared on the front cover of Empire magazine.
The main character of the Warrior Nun comic is Sister Shannon, who in this series is given a supporting role while the main role is given to an original character, Ava Silva.
Executive Producer Dean English announced on August 15, 2023 that due to the collective fan effort, Warrior Nun will return with a trilogy of movies and the possibility of a cinematic universe. This announcement came eight months after news of the TV series cancellation.
