Wisconsin has political campaign ads running pretty much all of the time, even in non-election cycles. Then add in the 2016 election and leading up to the 2020 election, we were bombed relentlessly with ads, mailers, phone calls, literally everything. Wisconsin is also a swing state and primarily Republican however 2-3 of our largest counties are Democrat which can pull the state in either direction. Wisconsins own state and local governments are like that as well. When we have state/local elections we get hammered with huge pac money for every cause under the sun, it is insane. I have lived in other states and I have never seen anything like it.
