The film was made in 48-hours (from writing, to shooting, to editing) for the 2018 Toronto 48-Hour Film Project competition. As per the competition, certain required elements are only known at the beginning of the 48-hour window. Those required elements are: GENRE (time-travel); CHARACTER (Riley Ludwig, door-to-door salesperson); PROP (head band); and DIALOGUE ("In another life, if you're lucky"). All competing teams share the same required elements except for GENRE, which each team pick out randomly.
Although safety precautions were taken beforehand, actors Kyra Furlong and Enho Kuo got so involved in their performance during a fight sequence, that Kyra actually passed out during a take. Skeptical about using the real-life accident in the final cut, the director sought Kyra's blessing to use the take, which she gladly gave.
