Jason Statham did most of his own stunts himself. The entirety of the jet-ski chase was done without the use of a stuntman and was all Statham.
(at around 2 mins) The scene in which the Meg devours a Tyrannosaurus Rex is directly taken from the first chapter of the 1997 book "Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror," by Steve Alten upon which the first film is based.
Director Ben Wheatley agreed to direct this film immediately simply because he greatly enjoyed watching The Meg (2018), but he also wanted to work with Jason Statham.
It is the last film to feature the blue WB shield as Warner Bros. Pictures' opening logo.
