The short film Astroknots, with a runtime of only two minutes, is quite unique in style and visually impressive in terms of its use of color. That said, it's undeniably suggestive-once you see it, you can't unsee it. I'm not sure I enjoyed it all that much, but I suspect this is simply the director's way of expressing humor rather than an intentional attempt to create a "dirty" film.
From a technical perspective, the film is fairly simple and lacks a high level of ambition. I imagine the idea for it came up spontaneously, and the time and effort spent bringing it to life probably weren't extensive. It feels like a film created either as a joke or as a way to experiment with an idea that might later be used in a more serious project. But, of course, that's just my guess.
