It is an arrangement of the second Prelude from Three Preludes, short piano pieces by George Gershwin, which were first performed by the composer at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City in 1926. You can hear them as composed for solo piano on YouTube.
Unusually each episode features a different line-up, with the theme sometimes played on the piano, clarinet and even the cello.
