The police captain Paul Danceny finds the corpse of the doctor Gabriel Vasseur in the garden of the clinic and calls for the help of his friend Marie Jourdan.
Paul has been accused for the murder of Doctor Gabriel and is under police custody, but Marie Jourdan manages to free him. Then we know the people working in the clinic: the Dr. Marc Vandeuil , his wife Lorraine Vandeuil (who has a love affair with Paul Danceny), the daughter Clémence Vandeuil and the Dr. Béatrice Keller. Paul and Marie study the relationships between all this characters and the dead: Gabriel Vasseur knew a lot of things.
A quite very slow murder investigation; too much time about family relationships (Edouard-Paul), but finally the story is saved by the pleasant performance of Mimie Mathy.

A large circle of sentimental connections between characters. This is all. A sort of soap opera in clothes of policier, saved by the presence of Mimie Mathy. The romances in each corner of story reduced the film as a sort of parody of crime genre. The talks about family, parenthood, old loves and causes of divorce are , in some measure, reasonable solutions to give a spoon of credibility to a story who seems more and more improvised.
