Danny Wills [SCI-Arc M.S. in Design Theory and Pedagogy candidate - EDGE Postgraduate Program, and Co-founder of SPACE SALOON] and Gian Maria Socci [Faculty INDA - Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and Co-founder of SPACE SALOON] explore how contemporary surveying technologies and collaborative design + build projects are implemented in a new understanding of site and landscape in the context of the SPACE SALOON workshop LANDING. Wills and Socci were joined in California's Morongo Valley by a team of students from INDA - International Program in Design and Architecture, Bangkok and SCI-Arc - Southern California Institute of Architecture. The workshop focused on pedagogical models that move outside of the classroom to engage sites and spaces as a community. SPACE SALOON is a collective platform for artists, architects, and engineers that focuses on design education through hands-on experience.
